Anthropic Launches Claude Science: AI for Drug Discovery and Life Sciences

Anthropic has unveiled Claude Science, a major new flagship product designed to significantly enhance scientific research, positioning it alongside other core tools like Claude Code and Claude Cowork. This launch was presented at an event attended by pharmaceutical executives, biotech founders, and researchers, signaling Anthropic's deep commitment to the life sciences sector.

Unlike previous offerings, such as the 'Claude for Life Sciences' plug-ins released in October, Claude Science is a full-featured, standalone product. Anthropic's decision to elevate its status to match Claude Code and Claude Cowork underscores the company's serious intent to revolutionize scientific discovery using AI.
